Landel James Cochran for Senate, Addison District
Good government is about finding balance. Our legislative system is designed to work best when we have leaders on both sides of the aisle committed to work together to craft smart future-forward laws that benefit all of us AND each of us. I am asking for a seat in Montpelier to work with all members from all parties to set clear priorities and contain costs for Vermont families.
Top Four Goals in the Senate
- Contain costs for Vermont families by containing the rapidly expanding scope of Vermont state government and setting hard limits for year-over-year budget increases.
- Provide immediate property tax relief for Vermont families with comprehensive school funding reform before the next budget cycle, whatever it takes–no excuses.
- Focus on growing Vermont’s economy and getting Vermont median family income into the top 10 of 50 states.
- Mend and foster a better working relationship between the leaders of the Democratic majority and the Governor’s office.
